Holiday Scrabble

Hello fellow Scrabblers,

I received some responses to when we could possibly have a Scrabble meetup that could also serve as a holiday gathering. One or two suggested a weekend meetup but to be honest, every weekend for us from now to January is filled. I went with 12/13/07 at 6:45/7:00 p.m. in my building's community room where we have had our other meetups.

I figured we could not only play Scrabble but have some holiday snacks/desserts as we play. I will be happy to bake some holiday treats. If anyone else is willing to bring something, please let me know.

Also, I want to have at least one meetup per month beginning next year, January 2008. We can try a weekend if this works for a majority of players. Also, I have held the previous events in the community room at my building on 66th Rd. and 102nd St. in Forest Hills since I can guarantee space and it's big enough to accommodate 12-16 players. If anyone else has suggestions of where we could also meet, please share your ideas.
